On Saturday 7th March, The Box Youth Project celebrated International Women's Day. This is a global day celebrating the economic, political and social achievements of women past, present and future.

The event was held at Farringdon Jubilee Centre and was attended by many young people from the Sunderland South area. The young people who attended had the opportunity to have a go at Ceramic Tile making, Card making, Bracelet making, Henna or Stick on tattoos and Street Dancing.

Everyone who took part in the event thoroughly enjoyed themselves. The project would like to say a huge thank you to Young Asian Voices, Judith Britton and Sarah from Street Games, who provided some of the activities.
